Is there a fee to register?
No, it is free to register with GoGift.

Can anyone register with GoGift?
Registration is open to anyone that has a social security number and has a checking or savings account.

When should I register?
You can register as early as you want. The only restriction is it must be at least 14 days before your event.

Once a cash gift is given, how quickly do the funds become available?
Gifted funds will be reflected in the “Contributions Report” after 72 hours.

How will my gift funds be delivered?
After your account has been “verified” you will be given the following options:

ACH Delivery – Each registered event is allowed 2 free ACH transactions (electronic delivery of funds) after which each subsequent request will be subject to a $5.95 handling fee that will be deducted from your event balance. As a protective measure, we may ask for extra identification or perform additional verification steps when processing transactions. Please allow 7 business days for delivery. 

Request a Check – All requests for delivery of funds via a paper check will be subject to a $5.95 handling fee that will be deducted from your event balance. Checks will be made payable to the primary GoGift registrant and the primary GoGift registrant only. Checks will be mailed to the address provided at the time of identification verification.  As a protective measure, we may ask for extra identification or perform additional verification steps when processing transactions. Please allow 7 business days for delivery.

How do I “verify” my account?
Once you have received your first gifts you will be given the option to “Get Funds”. Get Funds can be found under “Account Management” and is only visible to those that are logged in to their account. As part of the Get Funds process you will be required to complete a couple of steps to verify identity.

What if I am unable to “verify” my account?
Delivery of gifted funds cannot and will not be delivered until your account has been verified. If you are having trouble verifying your account please contact us at fraud.prevention@gogift.com.

How soon will my registry be available to those who would like to give a gift?
Once you have completed your registration, your GoGift registry will be available immediately. View our Registration Demo to verify you have completed all steps.

Will I know how much money each person has given me?
Yes, usually. Your online account management tools will allow you to track when and what each person has gifted. However, gift givers do have the option of giving anonymously.

Do my friends and family need a password to access my GoGift registry?
Your friends and family do not need a password to access your GoGift registry. They may search for your registry by typing in your first and last name and state.

How do I let my friends and family know that I have registered with GoGift?
There are a couple of ways to notify friends and family about your GoGift registry. One way is to use our e-mail invite feature by logging into your registry at “My Account“, clicking on “Create an Announcement” and then following the directions.

Also as a courtesy, GoGift sends you complimentary tissue inserts that read: “Registered with GoGift,” which includes our web address. These tasteful and convenient inserts work well when sent with an invitation.

What does the “declined” status represent under “Contributions”?
Gifted funds were unable to be verified and no charges were added to the gift giver’s submitted account information.

Is there a minimum amount that needs to be gifted to my GoGift registry?
Yes, the minimum gift is $10.

Is there a limit as to how much someone can gift?
Yes, there is a $1000.00 gift limit per/gifter each day. However, if an individual wants to gift more than $1000 they will need to gift another day as well. An individual isn’t limited to giving just one gift.

How do I request additional tissue inserts?
This is done from within your registry account.  Logon at “My Account” and you will find a “Tissue Inserts” link under Account Management.

When can I expect my tissue inserts?
Tissue inserts will be delivered within 7 to 10 days from date of request.

How do I give a cash gift?
On the GoGift home page select the Give a Gift link and you will be walked through the gift giving process. You may gift with a credit card or through your checking account, via an Automated Clearing House (ACH) transaction, a nationally-used electronic banking network operating system.

To give a gift through your checking account, you will supply your checking account information and the transfer will be made electronically.

Please note that all transactions are final.

Is there a fee to give a gift?
Yes, there is a 7.75% handling fee added to each gift that is given. The fee will be added to the gift giver and not subtracted from the gift. Concerned about the 7.75% fee? Visit our Cost Comparison Calculator.

How will my friend or loved one know I have given a gift?
Registered users can see who has sent a gift and how much they have sent when they log onto their account online. You also have the option of sending a personal note to accompany your gift.

Do I have to register to give a gift?
No, gifting with GoGift is easy as there is no registration required. Simply step through the
Give a Gift process as if you were making a standard credit card purchase. Funds can also be
direct deposited from a checking or savings account via an online check.

Why am I not receiving e-mail correspondence from GoGift?
It is possible that your email account/client utilizes a “SPAM” filter. Please review your “SPAM” settings, check your Junk Mail and/or Bulk Mail folders for missing GoGift correspondence. To ensure delivery, we recommend you add customer.support@gogift.com to your safe senders/whitelist.

The notifications work with most major cell carriers. You’ll need to confirm you have your current cell number in your account.
